Making Art That Tell Stories

ALEX YANG

VISUAL ARTIST & STORYTELLER

BASED IN MN

Hello and nyob zoo!

My name is Alex Yang and I am a Hmong-American artist and creative storyteller based in Minnesota. I create illustrations inspired by Hmong themes and culture with the purpose of reconnecting with my roots, empowering people to embrace their heritage, and inviting representation into spaces.

Fun facts about me ~ I enjoy and participate in various forms of storytelling such as creative writing and film-making. I think octopuses are cool (they are my favorite animals). I find joy in spending time with friends and family, being out in nature, learning about different cultures around the world, and eating sweet treats.

If you would like to follow along on my creative journey, you can follow me on my Instagram @manchamoon and/or Facebook page @Alex Yang Art to see what I'm working on.

Thank you for visiting my website and for supporting me as a growing artist! :)
